It will be flanked by sister cruise ships Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria when it arrives at the port. It’s first cruise is scheduled for New York City.
More than 1 million man hours have gone in to the refurbishment over a 25 day period.
Work has included the laying of 55,200 square metres of new carpets - the equivalent of 10 football pitches, the hanging of 4,000 new framed pictures and the application of more than 15,000 litres of paint to the ship’s hull.
