The ship comes six years after Quantum of the Seas and will follow Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas and another unnamed vessel.
“It is such a pleasure to announce the order of another Quantum-class ship as we are welcoming Anthem of the Seas to North America,” said Richard Fain chairman and chief executive of Royal Caribbean Cruises.
Michael Bayley, president and chief executive at Royal Caribbean International, added: “At Royal Caribbean we are focused on continuously improving efficiency and sustainability, and the fifth Quantum class vessel will be clear evidence of this."
