Aylward had been with Saga since July 2015, and in her position as head of trade sales since May 2016.
Maria Whiteman, managing director, Saga Holidays said: "Following a number of discussions with Deborah, she has decided that now is the right time to leave the organisation and pursue new opportunities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Deborah for all her support and wish her all the very best for the future."
In a statement sent to trade partners, Whiteman said the recruitment process to replace Aylward was now underway.
She added that agency sales manager Sharon Moore would be the key contact for Saga Holidays and national account manager Sukina Fagg, for Saga Cruise.
