The board’s Saint Lucia experts will get priority for the trips, and agents can register for the events via the SLTA’s online training portal.
The organisation will also host a series of dinners to reconnect with agent partners, provide an update on the country’s news and hear from the trade about what their clients are looking for. These will run throughout the year, across the UK, from May onwards.
Patricia Charlery-Leon, UK director of the SLTA, said agents were "vital" to the island’s post-pandemic success. "This industry has been severely impacted by the pandemic," she added.
"Whilst we have been unable to host fam trips due to Covid restrictions, we have enjoyed keeping in touch with our valued trade partners in other ways. But now is the time to get back out there and catch up face-to-face, to thank agents for their commitment and to update them on Saint Lucia’s tourism in 2022."
