Seven Seas Explorer will receive the royal seal of approval at its christening in July.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises said Princess Charlene of Monaco had agreed to be the ship’s godmother and will be attending its christening on July 13.
She will be joined by Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli who will perform for 40 minutes during the event.
Jason Montague, president and chief operating officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “We are making the christening ceremony for Seven Seas Explorer one for the ages, one that is truly befitting of the most luxurious ship ever built."
