Simon Eaton has been appointed head of commercial, a new position at the Hotelplan-owned operator. He brings 17 years’ experience with Tui to the role, most recently as Tui UK and Ireland’s head of strategic trading.
Sarah Fussey, meanwhile, joins Inntravel as head of marketing bringing 20 years’ experience in senior marketing and e-commerce roles in the travel and leisure sector. Fussey was head of marketing and e-commerce at Great Rail Journeys, and prior to that was at Best Western Hotels. She will oversee development of a UK and international digital marketing strategy.
The third new member of the team is sales manager Mark McCormick, who joins Inntravel from the financial sector. His focus will be revenue growth, and driving new customer acquisitions.
The activities specialist’s managing director Emma Gray, who joined in May last year replacing Karl Watson, has added the positions to the Yorkshire brand’s 70-strong team. Inntravel offers 300 different walking and cycling holidays plus independent rail travel and winter snow holidays.
“These new appointments represent the last jigsaw pieces in getting the leadership team up to full strength at Inntravel," said Gray. "Their vast experience in the industry will perfectly complement the experience of the existing members.
“This is an exciting time to be joining Inntravel, a business benefiting from long-term investment. The potential within Inntravel’s product and customer base is immense and the demand we’ve seen at Inntravel post-pandemic has been incredible.”
Gray added all three additions to the operator’s senior team would be going "all out to capitalise on expansion and trading opportunities ahead".
"The expansion of the sales and marketing team will allow us to go from strength to strength, supporting Inntravel in its mission to streamline business processes, and in bringing market-leading product and great customer experiences to even more people through an ever-increasing range of holidays.”
