The full-day sessions will take place from September to November and will include a two-day cruise training event due to be held in Southampton next month.
The event, hosted at the Grand Harbour Hotel on September 29 and 30, will allow agents to meet suppliers, including Crystal Cruises and Saga, as well as network with fellow industry members.
Agents will also be able to take part in cruise training sessions onboard Celebrity Eclipse and receive a pair of presentations from Clia UK and Ireland director Andy Harmer and one of The Global Travel Group’s top-performing cruise agents, Jason Peters of Creative Cruises.
Further to its cruise training, the consortium will also run a series of regional training events for agents to meet suppliers in other travel sectors.
Upcoming training days will be held on September 7 at the Copthorne Hotel in Salford and Boreham House in Chelmsford on September 8.
Two “luxury themed” events will also be run by the consortium and are due to take place at the Clayton Hotel in Leeds on November 22 and on November 23 at the Copthorne in Crawley.
Andy Stark, managing director of the Global Travel Group, said: “In a fast-evolving industry, our ongoing training events give members the opportunity to continually build on their travel knowledge and stay one step ahead of the competition.
“I’m confident that our combination of regional training days and themed events, including our upcoming cruise roadshow, will help develop their skills.”
