Launching on Thursday, new additions include the Olympus Riviera in Greece (Greece bookings are up 40% across the Thomas Cook Group), which is exclusive to Thomas Cook in the UK, as well as Golden Sands in Bulgaria, Spain’s Costa Brava and Madeira.
The seven new exclusive hotels include Olympus Riviera – Sentido Mediterranean Village Hotel & Spa; Golden Sands, Bulgaria – Sentido Marea; Golden Sands, Bulgaria - smartline Madara; Golden Sands Bulgaira – smartline Arena Mar; Lanzarote – smartline Lanzarote Palm; Paphos – Sunconnect Sofiana; and Ibiza – smartline Xaloc.
As well as 17 new flight routes – both to existing destinations and to new destinations including Varna, Funchal and Gerona – the airline is also increasing its flight frequency on existing routes from airports including Newcastle and Belfast.
The new flight routes will include Monday and Thursday flights to Corfu and Tuesday and Friday flights to Heraklion from Bristol; a Saturday flight to Gerona from Manchester; a Friday Paphos flight and Thursday and Sunday Corfu flights from Birmingham; Monday, Thursday and Friday flights to Corfu from Newcastle; and Monday flights to Kos from Glasgow and Belfast.
Chris Mottershead, managing director at Thomas Cook UK, said: “Our new destinations for summer 2018 offer a good mix of holiday types.
“We’re expecting a revitalisation in the traditional package holiday destination of Costa Brava and we’ve worked hard to secure some of the best quality hotels for our customers.
“Madeira on the other hand is perfect for those looking for something other than all-inclusive.
“Perhaps once seen as a destination just for older travellers, we think its array of local dining options and natural beauty will bring it higher up the wish-list for many customers next summer.
“Plus with Greece being so popular this summer, the addition of the stunning Olympus Riviera means there will be even more options.
“We know that customers want to be able to fly from their local airports so we’re also adding new flight routes to a number of regional airports, as well as increasing the frequency of existing ones.”
