It comes as the travel giant said it would be supporting Pride events around the UK with specially designed window displays in 14 stores lining the routes of parades.
Thomas Cook Airlines is also supporting Manchester Pride for the third year, with a social media campaign using the hashtag #FlyWithPride.
To coincide with the group’s support of Pride events over the summer, the operator said it would offer training about terminology to use when booking trips for same sex couples and their families, and ensure that staff are “aware and sensitive that not all destinations are as suitable as others for LGBTQ holidaymakers”.
It follows Thomas Cook’s inclusion of a same-sex couple in its peaks advert, which lead to the group launching an LGBTQ holidays page on ThomasCook.com.
Jamie Queen, marketing director, Thomas Cook Group said: “Our customers and employees are as diverse as our holidays, and we’re delighted to be supporting Pride 2017, especially in Manchester where our airline and lots of our retail colleagues are based. Following the success of Thomas Cook Airlines sponsorship of Manchester Pride, we wanted to extend this support to stores up and down the country too.”
