The London Bridge attack is the second atrocity committed in the capital this year, falling less than three months after the Westminster rampage in March, and just under three weeks after the Manchester Arena bombing in which 22 people died.
However, operators said they had seen few cancellations since the latest attack. VisitBritain has also pledged to continue promoting the UK in its overseas markets.
Simon Altham, managing director – revenue, at Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK, which owns Hoseasons said: “We contacted all our customers in London over the weekend to make sure they were safe and well.
“We have had no calls from people wanting to change their future London bookings. If we do, we will of course do all we can to help them find suitable alternative accommodation or allow them to move their dates.”
Nick Hughes, sales and marketing director at Attraction World, said the group had also been in contact with partners in London but added: “We haven’t had any customers wishing to cancel future London attractions... It goes without saying for any customers nervous about travelling we would look to cancel their booking free of charge, wherever we can.”
