Junior Travel is looking for a guide who has reached level 20, out of a possible 40, on the augmented reality game - which challenges players to search real-world locations for animated creatures on their smartphones.
The Granada-based travel business’ new employee will deliver city tours of Pokemon hot-spots to “rookie players”, reports Spanish news site Expatica.
Itineraries will see clients journeying by bus around Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid to find and catch creatures – with trips priced at €43 per day.
“Every minute we get three or four applications,” said Junior Travel manager Antonio Barragan, “the HR guy is a little overwhelmed.”
“The routes are so that people don’t get bored of the game in their city, and go hunt Pokemon in other provinces,” he added.
According to Expatica, the game has taken Spain “by storm” with fellow travel company, Felices Vacaciones, offering an 11-night travel package for €1,695 to hunt rare Pokemon in the United States.
