The campaign was designed to encourage customers to share their holiday experiences to boost social engagement and ultimately drive sales for Counsellors.
The campaign – #TCexperience – focused on helping its members encourage customers to share their experience of booking and travelling using their services via photos and stories through social media channels.
The firm claims engagement rates through the company channels were boosted by 80% on Facebook and 50% on Twitter, with individual Counsellors reporting high engagement on their own social channels, as well as boosting new enquiries for their businesses.
Travel Counsellors were also able to send their customers a personalised ‘memories’ brochure, using the campaign’s user-generated content to showcase destinations and properties.
Travel Counsellor Emma Parry-Thorpe said sending the brochure out resulted in bookings of more than £20,000 and has helped her to re-connect with customers.
More than 200 photos have been submitted so far by customers and the company has reported more than 200 bookings made as a direct result of the campaign.
Travel Counsellors head of marketing, Nyree Hood, said: “We have had great feedback from Travel Counsellors in how this has helped them boost their businesses and get those all-important summer sales, and we continue to invest in innovative ways to support them further in marketing their businesses.”
