Rob Kenton, managing director, said the agency’s upcoming shop in Newbury, Berkshire, heralded “a big step” for the business, moving into its largest town yet.
“We’ve been looking to expand now for the last three years and our biggest factor was the area and the clientele, so we’ve had our eye on Newbury for a while,” he told TTG.
“It’s really exciting for us to be opening a new store and it’s what drives us on as a business. In the beginning we were only supposed to have one store, but you have to take a chance and it worked really well for us.
“With Newbury, we are going to keep it high-end. We know that the model works and we are just taking it to a bigger town."
Kenton also praised its consortium The Travel Network Group for helping Triangle “compete against national retailers”.
The new store will be located in Newbury’s main market square, close to the high street – an area Kenton believes will deliver strong footfall.
The shop will initially have two full-time staff, with plans to double that by the end of the first year.
Jessica Martin, who already works for Triangle and has more than 20 years in the industry, will move over to manage the Newbury shop in her home town.
The new property brings Triangle’s team to 19 staff – including four homeworkers – across its four premises.
The agency, which launched in 2001, also has stores Mortimer and Pangbourne, Berkshire, and Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
