A US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco last night rejected Trump’s attempt to overturn a suspension of the travel ban he had imposed on citizens from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the US.
The court said it would not block a ruling by a Seattle court on February 3 suspending Trump’s travel ban, which he introduced through an executive order on January 27.
The move means that people from the seven countries can enter the US if they are holding valid visas.
The three judges voted unanimously against reinstating Trump’s order because the US government has not proved that the ban was justified by the threat of terrorism.
Trump responded to the decision on Twitter:

It is unclear what legal steps the US president will now take in order to reinstate the travel ban.
A TTG survey found that 83% of readers thought that the Trump’s travel ban would “impact visitor numbers to the US”.
