TTG editor Pippa Jacks took home a trophy in the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s annual journalism awards at WTM.
She won the Best Trade Feature category for a feature about Dominica following her visit to the island earlier this year. Judges said of the article: "This piece struck an excellent balance between the personal and the educational, and told the story of Dominica’s recovery after Tropical Storm Erika without focussing entirely on it."
The annual Caribbean Travel Journalism Awards recognise journalists across trade, national, regional, online and broadcast media outlets for editorial coverage of the region in the previous 12 months.
Jacks was also shortlisted for the Best Blog category for another article on Dominica for National Geographic Traveller’s website.
