Specialist Holidays Group said the brand will launch later this month to third party travel agents with a dedicated agent-only site, featuring an extensive long-haul product.
In a statement the company said the move was part of a plan to offer a “dedicated end to end service for its trade partners”.
“Travelmood will utilise a successful high performance website that was specifically designed with travel and technology in mind, putting agents at the forefront of technology and customer experience,” it said.
“It will feature exclusive contracts and offers, as well as a brochure with 55 worldwide destinations worldwide. “
The brand will compete on price against like for like brands with one of flexible search functions.
Timely search functions such as Christmas availability will also be on offer to enable agents to search a wide range of holiday options.
“The trade is an extremely important part of our business and for some time we have been considering how we might strengthen the service we offer to our trade partners”, commented Lesley Rollo, managing director for Travelmood.
“We have more than 60 years of experience in selling long haul holidays and over the last couple of years we have seen great success in the technology we are now using. Both of these attributes are continuously recognised by the trade and it has been the positive comments from agents which have been a key driving factor to take it one step further in launching Travelmood.
“Travelmood will deliver a high performance product to the trade without the need for its customers to then check online.”
In addition to the new website, the company will bring dedicated content led brochures to the stores under the Travelmood brand.
First to land in stores will be a multi-centre brochure and a dedicated USA brochure, with other brochures planned for later in the year to include Dubai and Beyond, Best Beaches and Ultimate Bucket List – all inspired from direct agent feedback.
In a move to strengthen its trade presence, the launch has also seen the company’s in-house Trade Sales team extended and the creation of a Business Development Manager role, whose purpose will be to solely look after independent agents.
“We’re also delighted to be launching a brand new agent incentive programme, added Rollo. “We have teamed up with Mybookingrewards.com which will launch before the end of the year, enabling agents to register to our programme to win vouchers and fam trip places.”
November and December will see its trade team dedicate its time to visiting up to 40 independent agents daily, showcasing the benefits of the new brand.
