The vertically integrated operator was given a perfect score of 100 by CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, following the provision of climate data which is then used to help the drive to low carbon economies.
The score means Tui will spend its eighth year running on Dach’s Climate Disclosure Leadership Indices and comes as the operator launches its own five-year sustainability strategy, Better Holidays, Better World.
Jane Ashton, director of sustainability at the Tui Group, said: “To be featured for the eighth year on the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index is a testament to the ongoing commitment to sustainability across the business and the leadership team.
“As the world’s largest tourism business we recognise our responsibility to lead and influence change for a more sustainable future for tourism.
“We are committed as a business to reducing our carbon emissions and understand the importance of accurate and transparent carbon reporting to all our stakeholders.”
