Investigators searching for the missing AirAsia Indonesia jet are to move operations underwater with the arrival of a specialist team from France.
The equipment will be used to try and locate the plane’s black box in a bid to find out just why it vanished on December 27.
It is likely that the plane is at the bottom of the shallow Java Sea. Several bodies have been recovered and one has been identified as passenger Hayati Lutfiah Hamid. Her funeral was held on Thursday, according to the BBC.
Flight QZ8501 was heading for Singapore from the Indonesian city of Surabaya when it vanished. The Airbus A320-200 was carrying 162 people.
