Fast & Furious – Supercharged will take guests on an immersive journey that fuses ride technology, popular characters and high-speed cars.
It will feature the Virtual Line experience, enabling guests to select a time to ride in advance so they can spend less time queuing and more time discovering the attractions.
The Virtual Line system will be accessible via the Official Universal Orlando Resort app or at kiosks outside the attraction entrance.
The focus on high-tech will also be apparent in the theme park’s new Aventura Hotel, which opens next August, boasting tablets in all 600 rooms. The hotel will bring the total number of rooms at the Orlando amusement park up to 6,200.
It was announced that Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood will be sold via travel agents for the first time, with tickets going on sale at the end of June. Tickets for Orlando went on sale in May.
Universal Studios representatives will also visit more than 4,000 travel agents across the UK this month to educate the trade about the new product on offer.
