The Departure Beach, exclusively for Virgin Holidays customers, will include a leisure centre featuring private air conditioned lounge and bars, Wi-Fi, gaming areas and shower cabins.
It was designed “to offer another opportunity for visitors to enjoy the very last moments of their holiday in Barbados before they fly back home”.
Nicki Goldsmiths, head of Caribbean and worldwide product at Virgin Holidays, said: “We believe that a holiday should be a pleasure from beginning to end and have been working hard to ensure we’ve removed as many pain-points as possible for our customers.
Transport from hotels to the beach and from the beach to the airport will be provided as well as towels and plastic bags. Suitcases will be sent directly to the airport. Entry will cost £20 per adult and £15 per child, with some exceptions.
The facility is due to open in May 2018.
