Zach Blackburn, whose mum Tricy was a travel agent, has a condition so complex that there is no medical name for it.
As well as a benign brain tumour, hydrocephalus and neurological disorders that affect his balance and speech, Zach is fed through his stomach and has multiple genetic health problems. He is six years old but has the mental age of a child of less than two.
Zach and his family have already received support from Abta LifeLine but his condition is deteriorating and his parents are increasingly exhausted as his behaviour becomes more challenging.
To help Zach, and others, TTG readers can join in the Abta LifeLine Lip-Sync Battle in the lead-up to the Big Charity Day on March 31, posting on social media with the hashtag #LaLaforLifeLine.
Participants need to choose a travel-related song, film themselves lip-syncing for 30 seconds, tweet, donate to LifeLine (Text LaLa17 £2 to 70070 or online at justgiving.com/abta) and challenge another person, team or business.
The best ones will go head-to-head on March 31 on the JustGiving site, where people can vote for their favourite lip-sync with a small donation. The lip-sync that raises the most will be the winner.
Trudie Drake, Abta LifeLine director, said: “We would love the industry to support our Big Charity Day and help raise funds for Zach to help with his medium-term care and perhaps help with a family break this summer in a place that is suitable for Zach.
“Tricy is Zach’s primary 24-hour carer. She is exhausted and in desperate need of a respite break – as is her husband Andy.
“But they can only ever leave Zach for one night. All his family know is that he will require constant care.
“Please do get involved in any way that you can.”
If not a lip-sync, any other event can be held on March 31 – it could have a destination theme or be a cake bake, quiz or a dress-down day.
