The new policy, which went live yesterday on October 29 means passengers are now allowed to travel with one, larger-sized bag, up to 55x40x23cm with a maximum weight of 10kg, free of charge.
Previously, customers faced charges of €10 - €18 depending on route.
Passengers can pick up duty-free goods purchased at the airport after a security check.
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, will offer its Wizz Priority service for travellers who want to carry on an extra small bag (up to 40x30x18cm).
The add-on, which costs between €5 - €10 when bought in advance, also offers priority boarding.
