Not Just Travel promotes Emma Holliday to Head of Trade
Long-serving team member takes on land-based trade partnerships as NJT invests in its senior team.
Not Just Travel has promoted Emma Holliday to Head of Trade, a newly created role focused entirely on land-based holidays, which puts one of its most experienced corporate team members in charge of the company's trade partnerships.
Holliday has been with the homeworking group since 2019, when she joined as a Corporate Personal Travel Coach working directly with consultants on everything from closing sales to supplier choices and business planning. Promoted from Senior Trade Business Development Manager, her new role, focusing entirely on land-based sales, takes her outward-facing. Emma will lead Not Just Travel’s relationships with its 45 Key Trade Partners, and manage the company's wider network of land-based industry partners.
Emma’s promotion comes shortly after Duncan Croucher's, who joined the company in the same year as Emma, from Senior Cruise Business Development Manager to Head of Cruise Sales.
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: "Emma knows this business and she knows the trade. Closer partnerships at a senior level means better terms, better product access and more useful knowledge for our consultants. The stronger those relationships are, the more sales our consultants proactively generate."
Holliday started her career on the shop floor at 16, working her way through agency management before spending eight years overseas as a resort manager. She joined Jet2.com as a Business Development Manager, then spent time at Leeds Bradford Airport before moving to Thomas Cook as National Sales Manager. She has been working in travel for more than 30 years.
"I already have valuable relationships with the trade," said Holliday. "What this role allows me to do is give them more attention and be their consistent point of contact who understands what our consultants need."
Not Just Travel, twice named World's Best Lifestyle Franchise at the Global Franchise Awards, continues to expand its senior team. Recent appointments include Josie Allen as Head of Marketing and Hayley Edwards as Channel Partnership Manager.
