Whether your clients are visiting Morocco’s economic capital for work and staying on for pleasure or seeking a less well-worn city break, they’ll find plenty to keep them entertained.
They could enjoy balmy nights of music or watch traditional displays of horsemanship. They’ll also have plenty of scope to combine festivities with relaxation in culture and nature. Beside enjoying Casablanca’s golden Atlantic beaches, they could be browsing the souk, admiring Moorish architecture or hiking in the hills.
There are also epic sporting events, such as the Lacathon Challenge, which took place this April and saw more than 120 participants tackle six sporting disciplines in the area's spectacular surroundings.
A modern city that retains its deep traditional roots, Casablanca will give your clients the best of both worlds. Here are some upcoming reasons to extend a stay.

Moussem Moulay Abdellah Amghar
7 - 15 August
For a true taste of Morocco’s living heritage, suggest clients visiting Casablanca in mid-August take a day trip 90 minutes along the coast to Moulay Abdellah near El Jadida.
Each year, as part of a spiritual and cultural festival, this village hosts skilful equestrian displays called Tbourida, which date back to the 16th century and are Unesco-listed.
Horses and riders are beautifully clad with period costumes and accessories, while falconry displays, and the sight of massed traditional tents further add to the atmosphere. In the evening, the event becomes a musical celebration. It’s the largest such gathering in Morocco, drawing around 5m visitors.
Entry to the grounds is free, but there’s a charge for seating and some events. Given the scale, it would be helpful to arrange a guide for your clients.

There’s another chance to see skilled horsemanship, this time in El Jadida city, less than 100km from Casablanca, at Salon du Cheval d’El Jadida (13 - 18 Oct 2026). Held at Parc d’Exposition Mohammed VI, the event covers a range of horse-focused exhibitions and equestrian shows.
Looking ahead…
Casablanca has some incredible sporting action to keep an eye on. It hosted the opening event of the World Surf League's 2026 Junior Qualifying Series for Europe and Africa in early May. The Morocco Mall Junior Pro Casablanca saw under-20s battling in the waves at popular Ain Diab beach.
For clients visiting next year, look out for Casablanca Tango Cup & Festival, a dancing tournament which sees cities and schools competing at historical Palais du Méchouar, a venue rarely open to the public. It was held in April this year.
One of the newer additions to Morocco’s music calendar is the Timeless Festival by U Radio, which last took place in May.
