With 33 years of travel industry experience and nine years spent living in Tenerife, agent Sarah-Jane Brooks knows the island better than most. Here she shares her expertise to help fellow agents match their clients to Spring Hotels’ six properties in Tenerife.

To get the inside scoop on Spring Hotels, turn to Sarah-Jane Brooks. She’s been selling the Canary Islands hospitality group's hotels for more than 30 years, since joining the industry as a 17-year-old apprentice at Lunn Poly. Now based in Tenerife, Sarah-Jane (known as SJ), regularly visits the group’s six properties in the south of the island, and books them at least five times a month for her UK-based customers.

The group includes Arona Gran Hotel, Hotel Vulcano and Hotel Bitácora, and following Spring Hotel’s acquisition of the iconic Mare Nostrum Resort in 2025, they have been joined by Sir Anthony Hotel, Cleopatra Palace and Mediterranean Palace Hotel.

As the owner of Sarah-Jane's Travel Beyond Expectations – part of Blue Bay Travel’s homeworking arm, Personal Travel Consultants – SJ describes Spring Hotels as one of her go-to brands. "I promote the hotels on my Facebook and Instagram pages, popping an offer on, or reposting my own pictures with a bit of information,” she notes. “People don’t just want to see deals, they do like to know more about the hotel, and they like that I have the personal experience from living here in Tenerife. I did a little live video from Hotel Vulcano recently, and the next day I secured a booking from it.”

When travellers reach out, most questions relate to the hotels’ location and proximity to the beach. She explains: “Every single one of them is in a really great location, and that’s a really key selling point for Spring Hotels. They are the best hotels on the island.”

Spring Hotels also offers its UP! concept at three hotels, which is an adults-only, premium experience, giving guests access to exclusive rooftop spaces, signature cocktails, and gourmet dining. Those booking an UP! room also receive VIP in-room amenities like Nespresso machines, robes, and priority loungers, with extra perks for those staying for more than seven nights.

Here, SJ shares her expert guide to the six properties, so you can tailor them to your clients:

1. Arona Gran Hotel

Rooms: 391
Ideal for: Couples, retired travellers and guests with mobility requirements

SJ’s selling tips: “This adults-only hotel has a really good location, set directly on the seafront promenade in Los Cristianos. It's really good for couples if they want to have a nice stroll, as they’ve got the seafront and the market is right next door on a Saturday morning. It’s ideal if they want a quiet and relaxed break. It has a lovely spa and infinity pool, and the dining is really good. UP! guests enjoy access to a private rooftop terrace with complimentary bar service and upgraded rooms. It's a really good location for anyone with mobility issues, as it’s very flat, and they’ve got ramps as well.”

2. Hotel Vulcano

Rooms: 371
Ideal for: Couples of all ages and solo travellers

SJ’s selling tips: “This is my personal favourite, because of the incredible location in Playa de las Americas. I visited recently and there were lots of younger couples and solo travellers. There’s a private adults-only area called Balance, which is very nice. It also offers the innovative 'Beats & Brunch' concept, where guests can enjoy a leisurely brunch until midday, before spending the afternoon with live DJs, drinks and friends in a poolside setting. Another key selling point is the UP! rooftop, which is an adults-only oasis featuring an infinity pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, and panoramic views of the Golden Mile and the ocean. If you’ve got customers who want to be in the heart of everything, but they don't want a really lively hotel, it's perfect.”

3. Hotel Bitácora

Rooms: 314
Ideal for: Families, particularly those travelling with hard-to-please teenagers

SJ’s selling tips: “If you've got a family that wants really good all-inclusive, this is the one for them. It’s just across from Hotel Vulcano in Playa de las Americas, so has a really good location. It's great for teenagers, as there's everything there, such as all the kids' clubs, water slides, the arcades and lots of fantastic entertainment. Highlights include Springly World, an expansive adventure and sports area featuring climbing walls, zip lines, and sports zones. There are also dedicated teen areas with games rooms, arcade games and video consoles. Adults can enjoy the exclusive UP! terrace with an infinity pool and hot tub."

4. Sir Anthony Hotel

Rooms: 70
Ideal for: Honeymooners and luxury seekers

SJ’s selling tips: “It has a luxurious, quiet and romantic vibe, so you could send customers that were on honeymoon, or adults wanting a really nice, boutique, luxury vibe. The plunge pool rooms are incredible! It’s in the ‘Golden Mile’ of Playa de las Americas, so they’ll be close to shops like Zara and Ralph Lauren. It’s not adults-only, but I’d suggest it only for families who wanted a quieter vibe, perhaps with older teenagers, not those wanting an action-packed holiday.

5. Cleopatra Palace

Rooms: 431
Ideal for: Older couples seeking central convenience with a traditional feel
SJ’s selling tips: “Another fantastic location in the heart of Playa de las Americas, on the Golden Mile, right next door to the Hard Rock Cafe. I’d suggest it for older couples, as it is quite classic and quieter, and doesn’t have as much entertainment as the others.”

6. Mediterranean Palace Hotel

Rooms: 536
Ideal for: Families looking for a premium, centrally located resort

SJ’s selling tips: “This is in the same prime location as the Cleopatra Palace, so right in the middle of the Golden Mile. It’s ideal for higher-end families, as it has a really big children's club, with lots of activities and really good food choices. It also offers childcare from six months, which is a great selling point for families."

Myth-busting and MICE

SJ believes a stay at one of Spring Hotels’ properties will debunk a common myth surrounding Tenerife. "Sometimes people think Tenerife is just a really busy island, a bit 'Brits abroad' with karaoke bars, but it’s not like that at all," she explains. "Spring Hotels will completely change those perceptions. They prove you can have a highly tailored, luxurious holiday, whether families want an incredible all-inclusive, or older couples want a peaceful break. Every hotel has a fantastic location, great facilities, and its own unique character."

The hotels also have a vast offering for MICE travellers, and the event facilities include more than 2,100 beds and 22 versatile event halls. There is also the Spring Hotels Auditorium, which accommodates up to 1,600 delegates, alongside the group's wider meeting and event facilities.
