Adventure specialist Intrepid has said there will be no surcharges on existing or new bookings across its core range of small group adventures this year, while CV Villas has introduced a "flight price promise" on its Corfu programme.
Intrepid said at a time when "fluctuating costs" are impacting the wider travel industry, it was taking a clear position that in 2026, "the price confirmed at booking for small group adventures is the price customers can expect to pay".
Its no surcharge commitment applies to its core small group adventure offering, including both tour-only and flight-inclusive bookings. It excludes Polar expeditions and tailor-made arrangements, which it said operate under different cost structures.
Intrepid stressed that where flights are not included and are booked independently or through third-parties, airfare pricing and any charges imposed by airlines were beyond its control.
"While some operators have flagged the potential for surcharges tied to fuel, currency or operational costs, Intrepid is committed to absorbing these costs within its core tour pricing wherever possible, so that travellers are not faced with unexpected price increases after booking," it said.
Joanna Reeve, Intrepid general manager UK and Ireland, said: “We know confidence matters when booking a trip, and that starts with clarity on price. Our focus is on delivering incredible, locally led experiences without unexpected add-ons or last-minute increases.
"At its core, this is about doing right by our customers. We believe in being upfront, standing by our pricing, and giving travellers the confidence to book their next adventure."
'Simple but powerful message'
Kuoni, meanwhile, said its policy aimed to give customers "clear reassurance on price at the point of booking". "Once a holiday is confirmed, Kuoni will not apply any surcharges – regardless of how global fuel, airline or operational costs may change," said the operator. "The price agreed at booking is the final price customers will pay."
The operator said with many customers looking for greater certainty amid ongoing global uncertainty, the move reflected its commitment to clarity, transparency and trust, reflected in its full Atol and Abta protection on packages, and 24/7 in‑destination assistance.
In addition, Kuoni said its ability to secure holidays to its most popular destinations well in advance thanks to its guaranteed out‑of‑date‑range flight programme offered an extra level of reassurance for price-conscious travellers.
"Holidays can be booked now with departures through to December 2027, including return dates into January 2028 for festive travel, allowing customers to plan far ahead without any concern that rising costs will be passed on later," said Kuoni.
Sarah Weetman, head of trade partnerships at Kuoni, added: "Right now, customers want certainty above all else. Our no surcharge promise removes a key barrier to booking by guaranteeing that the price agreed is the price they’ll pay, whatever happens next.
"It’s a simple but powerful reassurance for both agents and customers, and one that underlines Kuoni’s long‑term commitment to transparency, protection and peace of mind."
Kuoni added it hoped its no surcharge promise would send a clear and timely message to customers, and help agents drive bookings by "removing the fear of unexpected cost increases after the point of sale".
'Customers want complete confidence'
CV Villas, meanwhile, has also moved to rule out surcharges on existing or future villa packages, "giving customers complete confidence in the price they pay". It has also introduced a flight price promise, which applies to its Gatwick-Corfu charter programme, operated by Enter Air, and its allocation of Jet2 seats on its Manchester-Corfu route.
"This promise guarantees that when a customer books an eligible flight-inclusive villa package to Corfu this summer, our airfare will be the lowest available price when compared to comparable flight times with other selected airlines," said CV Villas. "If not, CV Villas will match the flight cost."
The operator said thanks to its charter programme and Jet2 allocation, it was able to "maintain control over pricing while avoiding the volatility of wider market forces". The price promise applies to all flight-inclusive package bookings, including those made by third-party agents.
CV Villas said its policies, combined with Greece's decision to at least temporarily cease EU Entry-Exit border checks for British nationals, was making Corfu an "even more attractive" option for the summer.
Pete Brudenell, CV Villas managing director, said: “Customers want complete confidence when booking their holiday, not just on price, but on protection. By removing additional fuel surcharges, introducing a flight price promise on Corfu, and ensuring every booking is fully protected through Atol and Abta, we’re giving customers clarity, security and value.
"Our combination of charter flying and secured airline seats allows us to maintain control over pricing, while continuing to offer a portfolio of distinctive villas that customers won’t easily find elsewhere."
