The homeworking specialist said July's recruitment was 25% higher than the same month last year, a "traditionally strong period" for the business. Enquiries from prospective agents also doubled compared with June, despite the company not increasing its marketing spend.
Not Just Travel said the surge reflected renewed consumer demand for travel, growing interest in self-employment and the launch of new franchise options designed to make it easier to start a travel business.
The latest franchise options include its Lite package, launched earlier this year as a lower-cost route into the business. The package is aimed at people who want to build a travel business gradually and part-time, as well as existing agents looking to develop an additional income stream.
New starters are paired with one of Not Just Travel's experienced consultants, who acts as a personal mentor. The two work together from the outset, with both earning from bookings made by the new consultant.
Paul Harrison, Co-Founder of Not Just Travel, said the company had experienced a "genuinely exceptional July", explaining that the company was seeing demand from people looking to build "long-term", rather than simply seeking a lifestyle change.
"We're proud to have twice been named the world's best lifestyle franchise, and it's encouraging to see that recognition translating directly into demand from people who are serious about building a long-term, lucrative business," he said.
