In her new role, Peterie will support the development and execution of trade marketing initiatives while focusing on strengthening partner engagement and driving commercial outcomes.
She joins from Flight Centre Travel Group, where she held a marketing manager role. Prior to that, she previously worked at Silversea Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, supporting the latter across its Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises brands.
Katie Malone, AE Expeditions chief marketing officer, said Peterie knows "how to effectively engage the trade" across multiple markets, with a "well-rounded" background spanning marketing, events, PR and trade.
"Her experience across both cruise and global travel environments will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our trade partnerships and deliver more integrated, commercially focused campaigns across APAC and EMEA," Malone explained.
The hiring of Peterie follows the appointment of Cunard's James Atherton who joined as the line's business development manager for the UK and Ireland.
Atherton began working at the Australian-owned operator in October 2025. He started his career in travel as a baggage handler at Southampton docks, which AE Expeditions believes gives him "a deep understanding of the cruise industry from the ground up".
