Speirs will succeed Robin Griffiths, whom APT confirmed is preparing to leave the business to pursue a "different opportunity".
In his new position, Speirs will be responsible for relations with key partners to continue to drive the brand's sales in the UK. Speirs joined APT Travel Group in 2024 following a 12-year career at Barrhead Travel Group.
During his two-year stint as Business Development Manager, he forged strong relationships with its B2B retail and travel partners in Scotland, North England and Northern Ireland, APT said. Sales have more doubled in Northern Ireland since he joined APT.
APT is now looking to appoint a new Business Development Manager to fill the role Speirs has vacated.
Brad Bennetts, APT's Head of Sales for UK & Europe, said: “At a time when we are celebrating record growth for the UK business, I am delighted Gary has been promoted and takes on a role which will further drive our success. APT Luxury & Travelmarvel prides itself on championing our own people by offering internal progression, development and growth.
"Gary has demonstrated great success in his current role as business development manager north over the last two years. I look forward to our UK key partner sales continuing to move from strength to strength under the guardianship of Gary.”
