Matt Roclawski, TTG Media:
"Hi, I'm Matt Roclawski, and I'm here in Hopfgarten, otherwise known as Hoffy. We're here with Contiki and 24 travel agents who are here to learn about how to sell Contiki holidays to travellers aged 18 to 35. We're skiing, we're snowboarding, we're powergliding, we're dining, we're bowling and we're enjoying some legendary après-ski at Haus Schoneck by Contiki. Let's hear from travel agents about their experiences and how you can sell Contiki holidays with confidence."
Ciara Tuyet, Cassidy Travel:
"The community here is absolutely insane. Everyone's so friendly, including the staff and the other people around you. They have a lot of events, so it's really easy to talk to people. On top of that, you're there for skiing and snowboarding, so you have that one thing in common."
Scarlett Hodges, Spires Travel Worcester:
"The lessons and the ski resorts are amazing. Whether you've never skied before or you're an expert skier, the slopes are brilliant. The lessons have really taught us a lot, and some of the girls had never skied before are now quite happy to ski down the slopes."
Yasmin Waters, Travel Counsellors:
"Something that can surprise people, I think, if you're new to skiing is just the transfer times to get from the airport to the mountain ranges, whereas you can be in Hoffi pretty quick, get your ski gear and then basically hit the gondolas to get up on the mountains. It's great for people with mixed abilities, because there'll be those who want to hit the slopes immediately, while others just want to chill out, enjoy the blues and participate in ski school. So yeah, I think it's a great location for first-timers."
Scarlett Hodges, Spires Travel Worcester:
"Clients are going to love Contiki accommodation. It's got all the vibes and an amazing atmosphere. It's has a very homey feel. From the minute we got here, we had welcome drinks on arrival, with the fire burning, Baileys coffee and Baileys hot chocolates. They've got an amazing lounge area, making it easy to meet people. The dining as well – the choice is yours where you sit. You can sit with your group of friends or make new friends. We had some amazing traditional Austrian food. It was very well run. The staff were amazing, and the food came out quickly."
Yasmin Waters, Travel Counsellors:
"So, my top selling tips for selling Contiki: I think you really need to match the traveller to the trip. With Contiki, ideally, it's a client who's already outgoing. They like being sociable and want to meet new people. They embrace every opportunity for social interaction because there's so much to do here where you can meet people from everywhere."
Ciara Tuyet, Cassidy Travel:
"Say, for example, you have a solo traveller who's going away for the first time and doesn't really know what they want, but they do know that they want to be social. A Contiki trip is definitely 100% their kind of trip. There are also other things that you can include. I did powergliding yesterday, which was insane, and I would 10 out of 10 recommend it if it's in your budget. But if not, there's still so much included, and it's honestly 100% worth whatever amount of time you want to spend here."
