As part of Explore’s new campaign – The Inca Trail, Just Peru It – your clients can save 15% when they travel on one of three fantastic Inca Trail tours, on any 2024 departure. The offer is valid on bookings made until 19 September 2023, so your customers can immerse themselves in the wonder and splendour of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.
These treks are accompanied by an expert leader and an amazing team of porters, and travellers will stay at quieter campsites on the trail compared to those used by many other operators. Plus, these tours can easily be combined with some of Peru’s other fascinating highlights. The average group size is just 11; big enough to meet like-minded people but small enough to get to the heart of a destination.
The tours are ideal for solo travellers, and Explore has a great deal for them too. As well as saving 15% they can enjoy their own room without paying the usual single supplement, which has been removed on these Inca Trail tours. Explore’s digital content manager Helen Pettitt joined one of the operator’s small group Inca Trail tours as a solo traveller recently, and she shares some of her top tips in this informative blog post.
Don’t forget, Explore offers price parity to agents, with flexible booking conditions, and it guarantees nearly every single departure.
These three tours are available with 15% off until 19 September 2023. Which ones will appeal to your clients?
1. Inca Trail Trek
Travellers walk along the classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. They’ll take in the spectacular views as they follow rivers through the dramatic Andes Mountains, trekking past impressive Inca ruins and through diverse cloud forests.
The tour includes a fully supported four-day trek on the Inca Trial, camping away from the crowds. Clients will arrive at the magnificent Machu Picchu’s Sun Gate on foot, and in the ancient Inca capital Cusco they’ll wander the cobbled streets around the lively Plaza de Armas. This nine-day tour now starts at £1,114pp, (trip only).
2. Peru In Depth and the Inca Trail
On this tour visitors combine Peru’s stunning highlights with trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. They’ll journey to the mysterious Nazca Lines, to the ’White City’ of Arequipa, see the impressive Colca Canyon and spend a night on Taquile Island, before reaching the former Inca capital of Cusco.
Highlights include seeing giant condors flying above Colca Canyon, which is one of the world’s deepest canyons. They’ll spend the night in a village guesthouse in Lake Titicaca and have plenty of time to discover Machu Picchu, surrounded by cloud forest. This 19-day tour is now available from £2,406pp (trip only).
3. Walk Peru’s Inca Trail and Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain
Your clients will discover the diversity of Peru on this fascinating journey through the highlights of the country. They’ll explore the floating reed islands of Lake Titicaca, travel through the Andes mountains to ancient Cusco and head into the Sacred Valley to trek the spectacular Inca Trail.
As well as following in the footsteps of the Incas, other key selling points include visiting Lake Titicaca, which is the highest navigable lake in the world and home to the Uros people. Visitors will see the alternative Rainbow Mountain on a spectacular Palccoyo trek through a landscape of multi coloured mountains. The 14-day tour now starts at £2,044pp (trip only).
On both the Peru In Depth and the Walk Peru’s Inca Trail and Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain tours, Explore offers the quieter and alternative Quarry Trek when Inca Trail permits have sold out. This offers spectacular views and joins the Inca Trail to trek into Machu Picchu.
To ensure the Inca Trail is preserved for future generations, Explore operates a number of initiatives to protect the area’s beauty, culture and environment. These include only employing porters from the Sacred Valley area, banning single-use plastic and carefully monitoring waste, and sourcing food locally.
