Launching in October at Black Book, Winged Boots for Agents has been designed to support luxury advisors with “complex, bespoke” enquiries that require “an extra notch of attention”.
“With many established tour operators, you have to fit into their box and sell the products they have on offer,” David Ox, Managing Director at Winged Boots, told TTG.
“But we understand agents with discerning clients don’t work like that. We need to be super flexible to find the product that works for them.”
Winged Boots for Agents has already been trialled on 15 agencies, including retail agents and a small number of mid-to-large homeworking divisions.
Ox says they were “lucky” to soft-launch on such strong businesses, crediting sister brand, Ocean Florida, for “cherry picking” the selection via its own trade team.
“We were looking for agents that could make those big ticket bookings,” he said. “But they don’t have to exclusively have high-net-worth clients – they might have just one specific customer who spends a lot. Or they might have a one-off booking, such as a celebration trip, that’s in the six figures.”
Ox added he was excited to introduce the new division on 21 October at Black Book, where the company will be a Premier Partner. Agents attending the two-day show can book appointments with the Winged Boots For Agents team once the event scheduling platform opens in early September.
Ox emphasised that, though the waitlist for the operator is now live, it has no plans to work with “thousands of agencies.”
“It’s more about working with the right people,” he said. “We see this as an extension of the service we offer our consumer clients.”
