Orient Express Corinthian will make its maiden voyage in June 2026, marking the launch of the world’s largest sailing yacht.
The vessel, designed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in collaboration with Orient Express, will trace a course through the French and Italian Rivieras, as well as the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas.
Reservations will open imminently, with agents able to start making bookings from 25 March on Orient Express Corinthian, which spans 220 metres in length. The yacht will have three towering masts supporting 1,500 square metres of rigid sails, while Orient Express Corinthian is also the first sailing yacht to be equipped with the ‘SolidSail’ propulsion system, which optimises performance under sail by harnessing the wind.
The system is further supported by a hybrid propulsion solution powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which “offers a substantial reduction in emissions compared to traditional marine fuels.”
An AI-driven detection system also minimises the risk of marine mammal collisions, and dynamic positioning technology erases the need for anchoring, preserving delicate seabeds.
As for the yacht’s interior, guests can expect 54 suites and a presidential suite with a private terrace, all designed by Maxime D’Angeac.
There will also be two pools, including a lap pool, two restaurants, a speakeasy bar, an amphitheatre and spa treatments.
