The operator has appointed Becky Baumbach as business development manager for the south west.
Baumbach will be responsible for supporting agents from Cornwall to Worcester, as well as South Wales.
She brings 10 years’ sales experience in travel to the role.
Baumbach will report to APT head of sales Jessica Shelton-Agar and completes a team of four BDMs – Denise Rice (south-east England), Chris So Woon Yuen (central England) and Carrie Grant (north of England and Scotland).
Inside sales executive Bianca Venn and Shelton-Agar complete the operator’s trade support team of six.
APT says the appointments "demonstrate a commitment to supporting agents throughout the UK".
Agent sales currently constitute two-thirds of APT’s sales.
“The south west presents a great opportunity and Becky’s addition demonstrates a commitment from APT to continue driving growth through the trade in this region,” said Shelton-Agar.
“Having spent many years working in the industry as a consultant on the frontline, she can relate to the challenges agents face on a day-to-day basis.
“Becky will be heading out on the road soon, sharing her plethora of knowledge and experience with agents in the south-west.”
