Crusader Travel, which often flies various countries’ flags from around the world in support of different rugby matches, decided to offer out its many French flags to other retailers on the high street.
The result was a heartwarming show of solidarity for the 129 people massacred in the French capital through a street lined with the Tricolore flag. “We happened to have five flag poles fixed in the street, which we use for rugby games,” said Bruce Lyons, owner of Crusader Travel.
“People asked if they could use our French flags, and we had them, so it seemed appropriate that we fly them all.”
The image of the street lined with the flags has since had more than 300,000 views on various Facebook pages, and over 2,000 “likes”. “We just wanted to demonstrate our support for the French people,” Lyons added.
