Belfast International will be connected to Rovaniemi, one of the gateways to Lapland, with easyJet claiming it to be the first and only direct connection to Finland from Northern Ireland.
EasyJet’s newest base at Southend, meanwhile, will gain flights to Berlin from 7 November, operating every Monday and Friday.
Flights to Grenoble, serving the Alps, from both Southend and Birmingham will launch from 14 December, operating every Saturday from Birmingham and Sunday from Southend offering winter sports connectivity.
The airline is also introducing a Belfast City-Edinburgh flight on 26 October, operating five times a week, while Vienna is a new focus for the carrier, with flights operating over the Christmas market season from 13 November from Gatwick, Bristol and Liverpool.
Three new routes will be added from Manchester to Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana, as well as Strasbourg and Verona. The latter will provide customers in the northwest with more direct access to ski resorts.
From Bristol, new flights to the Bavarian capital Munich will operate three times a week from 26 October, while Zurich and Verona are aimed at winter sports fans. Meanwhile, Liverpool receives a new twice weekly service to Krakow, and another to Almeria.
In Scotland, there is a new Edinburgh-Innsbruck service for skiers, as well as a new route to Barcelona. From Aberdeen, a twice weekly service to Paris Charles de Gaulle will operate. EasyJet said: “This provides customers in the northeast of Scotland with a direct route to one of Europe’s major hubs, offering connectivity to the continent and beyond.”
Other additions include a Gatwick-Toulouse service from 27 October, operating every Monday and Friday, while Leeds Bradford and Southampton gain services to Barcelona.
EasyJet holidays will offer package holidays across 17 of the new routes, including Munich, Krakow and Berlin.
