Oceana will sail 14 cruises to five regions during its new winter 2019/20 programme, calling in Spain, Portugal, Antigua, Montego Bay and various Central European capitals.
The line took the decision earlier this month to cancel Oceana’s planned cruises to Dubai and the Arabian Gulf due to the political tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
P&O said it was acting on the advice of “external authorities”, adding guest and crew safety was paramount.
Oceana’s new winter programme will run from 10 October to 9 April, book-ended by repositioning cruises to and from Malta including calls in Rome and Barcelona.
They include:
- A 14-night Christmas and New Year sailing departing Southampton on 22 December calling in Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira, Lisbon and La Coruna
- A 35-night Caribbean no-fly departing Southampton on 17 November calling in the Azores, Antigua, St Maarten, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Puerto Limon, Aruba, Martinique and Barbados
- And a seven-night Northern Europe city escape cruise departing Southampton on 16 February 2020 featuring calls in Hamburg, Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) and Zeebrugge (Bruges)
