As of Friday (1 April), travellers will no longer need to present a vaccination or test certificate upon entry.
Although the UK has been on the country’s approved entry list for some time, this now means arrivals from countries such as the US and Australia, regardless of vaccination status, will be allowed in.
Minister for justice and home affairs Morgan Johansson said: "We have already lifted the entry ban within the EU.
"Now the government has decided not to extend the entry ban from third countries. This will make it much easier for everyone who has been prevented from coming to Sweden in recent years due to the pandemic."
