The family-owned, four-star Boutique Hotel The Harmonie Vienna is part of the BW Premier Collection and offers a winning combination of location, ambience and personal service, with the assurance that it’s in partnership with one of the world’s biggest hotel brands.
Location
The hotel takes its name from the former Harmonietheater located in the nineth century Servitenviertel neighbourhood, whose ancient narrow streets house independent boutiques, cafes, excellent restaurants and a vibrant music scene to suit all tastes.
Servitenviertel is known as Vienna’s ‘Little Paris’, as its cafes, restaurants and bars exude Parisian character. Among the preserved wooden facades of the old shops is the famous Xocolat chocolate factory, where your clients can watch chocolatiers craft their confections. Another must-visit is the renowned French bistro La Mercerie.
Although it’s tucked away in a peaceful backstreet location, the hotel is only a short walk or tram ride from the famous Ringstrasse, home to many of Vienna’s most iconic sights and museums.
The historic Jewish Quarter and Sigmund Freud Museum, housed in the psychoanalyst’s former apartment, are also nearby.
Rooms
Accommodation ranges from standard rooms to 33-square-metre suites and even specially designed rooms for allergy sufferers. All rooms have air conditioning, free WiFi, a minibar, and a 42.5” TV, while suites offer Nespresso coffee machines.
Comfort or Superior double rooms sleep up to three guests, and the property also offers rooms for solo travellers.
Hotel owner Sonja Wimmer has put her own stamp on the property, with an artistic ambience that reflects its location, the arts and dance. Each room is unique and houses a different work by the Peruvian artist Luis Casanova Sorolla, who now lives in Vienna. His multimedia works are found throughout the hotel, with paintings capturing the movements of solo dancers from the Vienna State Opera.
Exclusive ticket offers
The Boutique Hotel The Harmonie Vienna is more than just somewhere to stay; it’s also your clients' gateway to many of Vienna’s leading cultural institutions, thanks to exclusive partnerships forged with the city’s top venues and performance companies. These enable guests to benefit from discounted tickets and convenient booking at reception, plus special giveaways and seasonal cultural offers.
Staying at the hotel makes it an effortless process to combine a city break with memorable evenings at the Vienna State Ballet or Vienna Opera, visiting the world-renowned Burgtheater, Volksoper opera house, or the city’s museums.
Through partnerships with top venues, the hotel offers access to more than 50 opera and ballet performances each season. For a seamless and stress-free experience, packages are available combining accommodation, breakfast and tickets for theatre performances or museum visits, something that makes offering a themed weekend break to your clients an easy proposition.
Culinary delights
One of the hotel’s key selling points is its food. Breakfast is included in the room rate and in this property, it isn’t just a meal, it’s a highlight of the stay.
Guests begin their day with a healthy, hearty buffet crafted around regional and organic produce that celebrates both flavour and sustainability. The selection includes organic muesli, fresh pastries from Franz Felber’s artisan bakery, regional sausage and cheese specialities and organic free range eggs. The jams served come from East Tyrol, while the hotel’s honey is very local, produced from bees kept in Vienna.
The hotel is also perfect for vegan clients, offering a large selection of products and hot dishes. The buffet is open from 7am to 10.30am, but if guests aren't early risers, they can enjoy an extended breakfast until 1pm including hot beverages, Viennese pastries and condiments, all included with the room rate.
In the afternoon, guests are invited to relax in the hotel bar’s cosy living room atmosphere, where complimentary tea and homemade cake are served between 3pm and 5pm. In addition, the hotel’s Bistro, open from midday until 10pm, offers the perfect setting for a drink and a light meal throughout the day or evening.
Whether guests want the full cultural experience or just to relax and enjoy the city’s ambience, the Boutique Hotel The Harmonie Vienna makes an ideal choice.
