Rebecca White brings nearly 30 years' industry experience to her new Quality Standards Manager role with InteleTravel, including 17 years with the CAA in its Atol crisis management department.
It is a newly created position for the fast-growing agency, in which White will ensure InteleTravel's 44,000 agents in the UK and Ireland are "constantly educated and informed of the latest regulatory standards".
This will span Abta's code of conduct, Atol, total payment protection in Ireland, and other legislative requirements.
White will lead on virtual and live mandatory training, and oversee delivery of accurate and updated compliance training materials for the InteleTravel website.
InteleTravel said White's appointment underscored its commitment to "maintaining the highest possible industry standards" on behalf of its agents in the UK and Ireland.
"Having spent almost three decades in the travel industry, I have been fortunate to experience the sector from almost every perspective, from my early career as an overseas representative in the days before mobile phones, through to operational management roles within tour operating, and most recently through my years with the Civil Aviation Authority," said White.
"That breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of both the commercial realities of travel and the critical importance of strong consumer protection and regulatory compliance. I am immensely proud to take on this new role with a dynamic and industry leading organisation and can’t wait to support InteleTravel’s continued growth.”
Tricia Handley-Hughes, InteleTravel's UK amd Ireland Managing Director, added: “Rebecca joins InteleTravel with an impressive travel industry career to date, and her expertise in educating and empowering our advisors across the UK and Ireland is synonymous with our commitment to providing them with the tools and environment to perform to the highest possible standards."
