This year TTG, Intrepid Travel and Eurostar are training 12 travel agents up to become the second cohort of TTG LGBTQ+ Travel Ambassadors.
The fam trip was designed to give them first-hand experience of travelling with the tour operator and rail company, so the agents can better understand and serve the needs of their clients within the community.
Agents from the TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadors class of 2026 also joined the trip, which featured activities designed to showcase and educate on more responsible travel too. This coverage is coming soon on flymy.co.uk.

Hello from Amsterdam! I’m here with a group of TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadors and TTG LGBTQ+ Travel Ambassadors. The agents and I are travelling by Eurostar and are spending four days exploring Paris and Amsterdam with Intrepid Travel. For the LGBTQ+ Ambassadors, activities include exploring Paris’s gay scene and taking part in WorldPride celebrations in Amsterdam. Let’s hear what the agents have learnt from their experiences as well as why they think your clients will love travelling by Eurostar to Paris and Amsterdam with Intrepid Travel.

Intrepid’s walking tour of North Amsterdam, I thought was absolutely amazing. I’ve been to Amsterdam several times, and it was really lovely to see a different part of the city. Our tour guide was exceptional; she was so bubbly. Seeing all the graffiti art and the warehousing, talking about the history of the area, and learning about how that side of the city has grown and changed, and it’s still developing, and how the local community is trying to actually improve that area for the better, and all the sustainability and eco projects that are underway, it was, yeah, just amazing. What I enjoyed about Le Marais was just, it was just lovely walking around the gay area, just seeing all the flags and all the wonderful colours that our community brings.
Jason Callender
I think it’s not just a street with some queer venues in there, it’s been built by a community, so it’s a real, sort of, it’s the heart of the gay scene.
Scarlett MacGregor
A big selling point for me was the history and culture of the LGBT community, because they’re my target audience. The first gay bar that we saw, I can’t recall the name of it off the top of my head...
Jason Callender
It was Le Village. Now it has become Elle’s Bar, which was the first space that didn’t have a buzzer or a hidden entry, so it was the first space where you could literally walk into a venue that was for you. You’ve got Anne Frank’s garden, you’ve got the Jewish quarter, you’ve got all the community coming together, that inclusion, it’s everybody that was looking for a safe space and it just all blends really well.
Scarlett MacGregor
The local guides are very, very welcoming, very inclusive. They’re very knowledgeable on the history, culture, community, and know exactly where to take you.
Jason Callender
And I think even multi-generational, so you could bring, if you’re in that community, you could bring mum and dad, you could bring those people over and show them, share that with them.
Scarlett MacGregor
No matter what your demographic is, you’re welcome here.
Sandra Doyle
I absolutely loved Eurostar’s gender-neutral uniform policy. I think every organisation across the entire world should have the same policy. It was obvious speaking to the staff onboard the Eurostar that they just really revelled in the opportunity to just be their authentic selves and to be able to express themselves however they wanted to, and they seemed very proud of their uniforms.
Bradley Reynolds
This is the greatest opportunity. I’m so happy that Intrepid have invited me on this trip, and that they really care about the LGBTQ+ community. And this is the event of all events, we’re combining Euro and WorldPride all in one, which is a really special occasion.
Scarlett MacGregor
It is my first official Pride event, so to be...
Jason Callender
Pride baby!
Scarlett MacGregor
Pride baby! To be at WorldPride in Europe is amazing.
Jason Callender
Intrepid does run Pride itineraries to several countries. There are too many to mention, but absolutely have a look. Intrepid have got some really amazing staff that will be happy to talk you through them and what would work.
Sandra Doyle
You’ve just got to go on an Intrepid trip, because it just gives you the best overview of the city, and I think you get some really unique opportunities to not just see the main highlights that everybody wants to see, but to see things kind of off the beaten track. And, yeah, it’s such a great opportunity to spend time with like-minded people who love travelling.
Bradley Reynolds
I just really believe that this is the future of travel. People just don’t want to do the bucket and spade anymore; they want an experience to remember for the rest of their life, and that’s what Intrepid are offering. So I’d say anybody who wants to book an Intrepid holiday, agents, too your clients, just go and sell Intrepid more and more.
