Traverse Associates, which specialises in automation technologies for the travel industry, has launched a new office in Toronto, Canada to develop its North American client base. 

The company, which recently argued the case for automation against a backdrop of headlines slamming the "rise of robots" in the workforce, has appointed Graeme Knight as managing director of Traverse Associates Software Canada.

At a time where automation is on the rise, with more and more travel companies deciding to automate complex processes to allow growth, this expansion will help towards developing new intelligent automation products and also spread the word of automation in travel overseas.

Traverse at present works with global brands and travel firms in Europe, and sees this new office as a new approach to keeping in touch with clients in Canada and US.
