Charlotte Cullinan, TTG Media: Hello, and welcome to our TTG Luxury Journey to AMOH, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes, and a member of Wavemaker Hospitality. We've brought five luxury travel advisors here to experience everything this gorgeous property has to offer, so they can discover how to sell this brand-new hotel with confidence. Let's hear their top selling tips.
Karen Brooks, Travel Four Seasons: So when I first entered the hotel, I just thought wow, absolutely beautiful. The decor, and the position situated on a peninsula, the views, the rooms, everything is absolutely beautiful.
It's just got a sense of quality, luxury, definitely, this would suit honeymooners, couples, people who are looking for um excellent accommodation, great location, and just a great ambiance.
The main feature is this stunning, open swimming pool. The actual lido area is amazing, and the sunbeds, I have to say, they're probably the most comfortable sunbeds and colourful I've ever come across in any hotel.
So the dining here, we have three restaurants: one main restaurant, and then we have an Italian and a seafood. So there's also the option to eat in their specialty restaurant, which is called Glaze, and that is sushi and steak.
Each day the hotel offers an Epicurean Experience. We had ours this lunchtime today and for 15 minutes, you get to experience the local olives, the local olive oil, and the bread, which is all baked here locally at the hotel. If you want to experience something further, then you can do a 20-minute ride out, again complimentary from the hotel, and visit the olive grove. So that should be very exciting.
Olivia Posca, Travel Counsellors: The hotel has got 197 rooms. It's set on quite big grounds, so even at full capacity, I think it'll still feel like it's not overcrowded.
There's two secluded coves, one will have 50 sunbeds on it and the other one's smaller, it has 12 sunbeds. It will be great for guests to have a bit of privacy and use the coves, and it's stunning area.
Obviously being a new build, the resort has got some beautiful greenery around the property. They actually designed the gardens and the areas before they actually built the hotel, so it looks spectacular to have that as part of the hotel, too.
Gemma Smith, Revells Travel: So the room that I have is the Hemera Hideaway with a private pool and sea view as well. What I love about it is how it's modern, but it's like mid-century modern. When you take a step further and further in the room, there's just something else to be amazed about. It's got a sunbed which is so thick, you could even sleep outside on that if you wanted to!
This afternoon, I went for a massage in the spa. It was, from start to finish, absolutely incredible. It's not just the moment that you're having the treatment done, it's the before and the after, the welcoming, all of the staff from the reception to the masseuse herself, and the room where you get to have a a cup of tea or a drink of water before and after as well. I've got to say, I have had a few massages in in my life, and this massage was definitely the best that I've had. It was incredible.
Karen Brooks, Travel Four Seasons: The hotel has an option where if you are on half-board, you can have your food for lunch or dinner. I would definitely recommend having that option, and taking advantage of that.
Today, we're out at Rhodes Old Town. Fantastic, so many restaurants here. And last night we were having dinner in Lindos, my first time, it's such a pretty place. Lots of alleyways and you come to a dead end, and all of a sudden, there's another alleyway, and it's steep, so it's hidden in the rocks. Beautiful white buildings, gorgeous beach.
The dinner we had last night was on a rooftop, I definitely recommend having a rooftop dinner, and the views over the surrounding beach area and the mountains were stunning. From the hotel, Lindos is a quick 10-minute ride in a taxi. Taxis are easy to get as well, and the hotel will always arrange that for you if you needed it.
Gemma Smith, Revells Travel: When I get home, I am so excited to share it with my clients and to my colleagues as well. I'm already thinking, I'm not even engaged yet, but this is going to be where I have my honeymoon! I can tell you that for sure.
I'm so looking forward to sharing this in some itineraries for clients, specifically those that want to organise their honeymoon or just somewhere that they just need a break away from the kids, maybe, or just somewhere to relax and re- rewind, this is definitely the place to do it. It's just perfect.
