Next time a customer is considering a US holiday, how about treating them to a hotdog? Or sending a tuk tuk to bring clients to your door to weigh up a trip to Asia? These are just some of the innovative twists Myriad Travel has introduced as part of a regular programme of client evenings to inspire customers and drive business.
Owner Tiffany Woodley started running monthly events last May, after moving her business into new premises in Woolton Village, Liverpool. She converted the upstairs floor into a lounge area with relaxed seating for 20 people, which acts as a venue for her awareness-boosting events.
“We’re independent so it’s very important to be different, innovative and unique,” she says. “We are surrounded by Thomsons and Thomas Cooks, who hold their own events, so I need mine to stand out. Our strong point is that we can introduce clients to specialist operators that they haven’t heard about.”
