Gigi Gorgeous, a 24-year-old Canadian, who has documented her transition on social media, was stopped at the immigration and visa offices, according to TMZ.
She claimed that the immigration officer said to her: “I was told you are transgender. You cannot come into the country."
Gorgeous was born Gregory Lazzarato, but said her passport had been updated since she had transitioned and that it now reads Gigi Loren.
Airport police reportedly insisted that the passport described her as male, and that the passport photo showed her as male, however Gorgeous insisted this was not true.
She later posted a photo of herself hugging a companion on the airport concourse, and said in the caption that she had been “detained and held” for five hours at the airport.

"How you can be denied entry somewhere just because of who you are is seriously disgusting and also very scary. This further proves the need for CHANGE," she added.
Gorgeous said she was now heading to somewhere “much more accepting”.
