An exclusive group of 30 TIPTO registered agents travelled onboard MS Nordnorge to experience Hurtigruten’s unique coastal cruising product across two seven-night sailings along the stunning Norwegian coast.
The agent attendees all won their place courtesy of TIPTO’s Year 2026 event schedule and a prize draw offering at every event. The 30 winners were split into two groups and experienced Hurtigruten’s Original Coastal Express voyages first hand, witnessing Norway’s world-famous fjords, traversing the idyllic Lofoten and Vesterålen islands, and stopping at 34 coastal communities along the way.
Now back in the UK, agent attendees have been feeding back just how useful they found the trip. Lisa Gray, Travel PA comments: “The most memorable moment of the trip for me was passing through the Arctic Circle – amazing! And having experienced Hurtigruten first hand, and for the first time, I’m now more confident in which of my clients to suggest it too, and exactly how to position it. It’s certainly for a more adventurous passenger!”
Adds Amy Hyland, Not Just Travel: “This was an unusual cruise in terms of ports of call and excursion schedule, with lots of nighttime activity. The FAM has really made everything so much clearer and I can now easily see how and where I could pitch this to a client.”
FAM trips offer agents a first-hand experience, allowing them to better sell the product. And with Hurtigruten’s unique style of exploration, agent feedback has shown just how quickly the learning curve helps in pitching its offering. Chloe Rawlins, Villair Travel, has awarded Hurtigruten the accolade “best cruise line to experience the real Norway” and further notes: “It’s a truly authentic way to travel Norway’s coastline."
Vishal Patel, TIPTO Chairman, adds: Education is a priority for TIPTO and its supplier members, so to be able to take learning onboard a product, just means we’re providing an additional layer of support. We want to thank Hurtigruten, and all of our supplier members, for providing unwavering commitment and learning collateral for our agents."
