The airline’s Skywards scheme has been overhauled with its new My Family offering, meaning parents can use miles to perk up their children’s flying experience.
Each family account can have up to eight members, including a nominated lead, with members’ miles able to be distributed or redistributed at any time.
Emirates says My Family boosts its family offering on board and on the ground, giving kids access to special toys, activity packs, child-friendly meals and more on board entertainment options.
Other benefits include dedicated family check-in areas, complimentary strollers and priority boarding for families at all airports.
“We’re always working to enhance our offerings to ensure our members are given greater value, choice and flexibility at every touchpoint across the Emirates Skywards programme,” said Dr Nejib Ben Khedler, senior vice-president Emirates Skywards.
“The new enriched ‘My Family’ programme will provide our members with a better, more intuitive customer experience, allowing them to consolidate up to 100% of Skywards miles earned on Emirates to reap faster rewards as well as tailor the proposition to meet their travel needs.”
Skywards miles can be earned through flights, as well as other travel and through more than 100 Emirates’ partners, which include other airlines, hotels and shops.
They can also be spent on special events, as well as lounge access, priority check-in and boarding, advance seat selection and on board Wi-Fi.
