Scotland’s first minister Nicola Sturgeon said reopening non-essential retail was an “important first step back to some kind of normality”.
Barrhead Travel was among those to reopen on Monday, while Kilwinning’s Thorne Travel tweeted to clients: "We’ve really missed seeing you over the last few months.”
Meanwhile, Loganair has confirmed plans to increase services to Scotland’s islands.
From 3 May, combined Aberdeen-Kirkwall and Aberdeen-Sumburgh services will be de-linked to provide dedicated services, and weekday evening services linking Glasgow with Campbeltown, Islay and Stornoway will resume. Flights from Edinburgh to Kirkwall and Sumburgh will resume for the first time in 2021, initially five days a week.
More changes will come on 24 May, including the resumption of dedicated Glasgow-Benbecula services at weekends.
From 1 June, Inverness-Stornoway services move from one to two flights each weekday, restoring a day return capability in each direction, and Inverness services to Orkney and Shetland resume.
In addition, Loganair will “progressively” restart services on over 30 cross-border routes linking destinations in Scotland with Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Exeter, Newquay, Belfast City and other points.
