Spain will open its borders to members of the EU’s Schengen area as well as the UK on June 21, according to local reports.
The border was originally due to reopen on 1 July, but the Telegraph reports Spanish prime minister Pedro Sanchez announced the revised timeline yesterday (14 June), as reported by Spanish newspaper El Pais.
Travellers from other, non-Schengen countries will be allowed into the country without the need to self-quarantine from July 1 onwards, if there is a reciprocal agreement, the Telegraph reports.
