Frasers took over the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin group for £363.4 million in June and the latest move sees it acquire a clutch of UK hotels from Swire Properties Hotels Holdings.
Spending £36.1 million has given Frasers the Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol; the Magdalen Chapter in Exeter; the Montpellier Chapter in Cheltenham; and Hotel Seattle in Brighton.
The hotels will continue to operate under their existing names until 2016 when development plans will be revealed for each of the hotels, Frasers said.
Malmaison and Hotel du Vin group comprises 29 hotels; Swire is the owner of many hotels in Asia, such as The Opposite House in Beijing and The Upper House in Hong Kong.
Frasers Hospitality chief executive Choe Peng Sum said: “These four stylish and iconic hotels in their respective cities are a perfect fit for Malmaison and Hotel du Vin, and this acquisition is clearly in line with the group’s expansion strategy of the brands within the UK, Europe and Asia.”
He added that Frasers was aiming to be operating 30,000 rooms in its portfolio by 2019.
The latest inclusion of four hotels brings Frasers Hospitality’s global portfolio to 22,000 rooms worldwide in 136 properties.
Frasers Hospitality had previously only operated in the serviced residences sector under its Fraser Suites, Fraser Place, Fraser Residence and Modena by Fraser brands, as well as a design-led hotel residence brand, Capri by Fraser.
Frasers Hospitality also recently partnered with Mercedes-Benz to launch Mercedes-Benz Living @ Fraser, which saw the conversion of six apartments at Fraser Suites Kensington designed in tandem with Mercedes.
The pilot will be followed early next year with a project converting nine apartments at Capri by Fraser in Singapore, before a roll-out across Asia.
